うっすらと透ける薄布に、曲線的な植物模様を描いたアンティークのドレスフロント。花びらや葉の部分には、地布を切り抜くカットワークが施され、縁は密なボタンホールステッチで丁寧にかがられています。小さなアイレット状の透かしや、ふっくらと盛り上がる密な刺繍が重なり、光を通すことで模様が立体的に浮かび上がります。ドレスやブラウスの胸元を飾るために用いられた、手仕事の細やかさが魅力の一点です。
